Building Blocks Parents' Day Out utilizes Christian-based, age appropriate curriculum in all classrooms, emphasizing the center approach with hands-on learning.  Our goal is to build a positive foundation in the life of your child by meeting their spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and social needs in a loving environment.  We strive to maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio based on the age of the children in the room. 

The program will also provide:

  • Age appropriate and safe learning environment
  • Nurturing, Christian teachers
  • A balance between effective and cognitive learning
  • A combination of quiet play, individual and group activities

Curriculum:

Our curriculum is teacher driven based on monthly themed units.  Through the units we will have special visitors and projects.  Curriculum includes Bible thoughts and verses, colors, shapes, numbers, phonics, writing, math, science and art implemented through age appropriate activities.  We offer extracurricular classes including a Music and Movement class for ages 2 through Pre-K.  We have center's room for children 3 through Pre-K where children can experience discovery centers and different activities outside their classroom setting.  Chapel is attended once a week for ages 2 through Pre-K.

Enrollment:

Enrollment shall be open to any child who is six months old by September 1, 2011 and is not older than Kindergarten age.  Children with special needs will be admitted on a case-by-case basis.

Registration:

Tuition will be $130.00 per month with a multiple child discount.  Two siblings enrolled for the semester will be $240.00 per month and three will be $360.00 per month.  There is a $30.00 supply fee per child each semester.  If your child was previously enrolled in the program for the entire year the enrollment fee will be waived for your upcoming enrollment.  If you are enrolling a new child into the program there is a one time $40.00 enrollment fee that must be paid to secure a space for your child.

This year we are offering an extended care option.  Starting at 7:45 a.m. you may drop your child off and pick them up at 3:15. p.m.  This option will require advanced registration so we know how to appropriately staff this extended time.  The additional cost will be $40.00 per month.

We are looking forward to an exciting year!  This year's theme is Community Helpers!  We will focus on teaching outreach in several projects through community involvement.  We will also have some exciting opportunities for our parents to interact with the children through special events.  Upon registration you will receive a Parent Handbook and calendar of theme days for our upcoming year. 

We strive to make their time with us at Building Blocks Parents' Day Out a wonderful experience.  The Lord has great plans for our kids!
