First Baptist Church is pleased to announce that Marsha Howard has joined our staff as Minister to Children.  Marsha has served as Director of our Parent's Day Out since 2007 and was the Administrator at First Baptist Christian Academy in Athens, Texas from 1996 to 2001, developing curriculum, budgets, staff development and spiritual mission for the school.  Marsha worked as a teacher in the Athens ISD from 1980 to 1994  and comes with a genuine love for children and desire to serve our Lord. 

Marsha holds a B. S. in Education and Art from the University of Texas at Tyler.  Her ministry experience is extensive, including Children's Sunday School director and teacher, VBS director and teacher, WMU director, GA's and Acteens leader, Mission Day Camp leader, Children's Bible Drill leader, guest speaker at Children's Church, as well as teaching ladies in Sunday School here at FBC Canton and serving as co-coordinator for the FBC Ladies Ministry LIGHT.

Marsha's mission statement is to use her education, experience and talents in a way that would bring glory to God. We look forward to all the Lord has planned in our Children's Ministry at First Baptist Canton!
