daily devotions

Isaiah 35:10
June 16th, 2026
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion withsinging with everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. We pray...thy kingdom come...we sing...come Jesus come...but we fall short of the glory of that moment until we see passages like this which describe a real place with no sorrow...no sighing...what a day that will be...
Psalm 50:14-15
June 15th, 2026
Offer to God Thanksgiving and pay your vows to the most high.Call upon me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. We owe God Thanksgiving before we Call on him in our troubles. We should have only once source for help...the most high. He is higher in thoughts than we are, he is greater in creativity than we are. He has unending resources to solve trouble. He has wisdom...
Jeremiah 9:1
May 19th, 2026
Blackaby Jeremiah was invited by the Lord to be the weeping prophet. Not a very sought after calling. God would bring judgment, Jeremiah would proclaim it and then have a front row seat to see it. What adjustments will God require of us today? Will we say yes and know that God's call is the best and most fulfilling for us? Or will we stay in our uncomfortable comfort and tell ourselves and God... ...
John 19:25
May 18th, 2026
Blackaby Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas and Mary Magdalene. There is no Christianity without a cross. Crosses are painful. They mark your life permanently. They are personal and will cost the persons around you much. But without the cross there can be no redemption for anyone..not you not me not those we love. Pick up your cross a...
Jeremiah 17:5-8

Our Daily Bread Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters.... how deep are your roots in trusting the Lord. Trust means full dependence....confidence in his person and complete surrender to his paths. You deeply trust when you consistently seek him first, early and often when life is good, so that when life gets difficul...

daily habits

"Do the hard things first, don't negotiate with yourself"

Daily Devotion

Read the bible through in a year, every year.
Our Daily Bread

Bible Study

Read commentaries, listen to teachings and sermons on
the Bible, get in groups to
study the bible, memorize…
All these equal study.

Prayer & Fasting

Journal your prayers and God’s faithfulness to answer them.
Be serious about your prayers, enough to forego that which is temporary for the eternal.

Worship

In the Word, and in song both individually and corporately.

Witness

There is nothing like seeing someone come to life spiritually. This will lead you to missions and discipleship. Someone who is born again is someone who has just begun to be a disciple.

Serve

Find someone in need and meet the need, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Those who give of themselves will always grow, those who take will never grow.

Accountability

You will need someone very trusted to hold you accountable to all these daily habits.
Pray to find that someone, and then pray for the Lord to use you in the same way for others.

what's on our bookshelf?

Mike & I are voracious readers and we have such a desire to share with you amazing books that we have read and believe you need to read too! This little corner will give you a glimpse of our bookshelves amongst the many topics we read.
We always take this perspective when reading:
"throw out the bones, but eat the meat"
Chew on the best and let it give you the nourishment you need.
With love,
Mrs. Kari
